Under The Same Sky – printing with Simon

We’ve teamed up with the Barefoot Doctors project again to run a series of sessions.

This time they are in Penkhull Children’s Centre and aim to create a series of banners for the centre, that can possibly be used for Growing Hearts and Minds activities. Our Barefoot Doctor volunteer helping to get this show on the road is a local mum to the Penkhull area and very creative person – Sheena McDonagh … also a talented knitter and singer.

Sheena will be working closely with our artist Simon Ripley and another local Barefoot volunteer Zoe Best, who is keen to develop new printmaking skills in her spare time, away from the work she does with the several arts groups she manages  at Brighter Futures, devising exhibitions such as the Hidden Talents show. Zoe hopes to pass her new skills on to the clients at The Observatory , The American Clubhouse and other venues at Brighter Futures.
